Here are some tools that I like to use while working:
- OneNote - office.live.com, sign up or log in, and then you can start using OneNote for free through their web interface.
- PhraseExpress - text expansion, great for using while programming if you use certain code blocks often.
- f.lux - changes the warmth of your monitor depending on the time of day/environment lighting, meant to help avoid eyestrain.
- sublime text 2 - a nice little text editor with syntax highlighting.
- mouse without borders - a great virtual “KM” switch for using your Keyboard and mouse across multiple computers.
- VisionApp - remote desktop manager, lets you save identity credentials, and catagorize and save remote connections.
- RDCMan – Microsoft’s remote desktop manager, still checking it out.
- WinRar - a compression/decompression tool. Very versatile.
- Virtual Clone Drive – Allows you to mount iso files as a CD/DVD drive
